ZAMBOANGA
CITY: This city launched the so-called Business One Stop Shop (BOSS) for
business registration last Jan. 5, 2015 and renewal of permits at the Zamboanga
City Hall was orderly and organized, a new report said.
Under
BOSS, the applicants need not rush from one office to another to finish their
transactions since all the concerned offices were set up in one place.
According
to Benjie Barredo, City Hall head of Licensing Office, a one-stop shop for
business permit is established at the second floor of the City Hall Office
until Jan. 20.
The
Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) is supporting the initiative by temporarily
assigning fire fees collectors in the area so as not to burden the applicants
in going to the BFP office.
Permits
renewal and registration went full blast starting last Jan. 5 and late fillers
will be meted with 25 percent surcharge per quarter and 2 percent additional
surcharge per month.
The
BOSS initiative signifies the city’s firm commitment to provide an improved and
better service in creating a more vibrant and competitive business climate in
the city, a press release said.
Office
hours for all agencies and offices involved in the renewal and registration
process will be extended from 8:00 in the morning until the same hour in the evening,
from Monday to Friday.
It
closes in 5:00 in the afternoon on holidays and on Saturdays and Sundays from January
5 to 20, to accommodate applicants. (With
