PRO-9 holds traditional New Year’s call to Basbas

PAGADIAN CITY: The command group, directorial staff, unit commanders and senior PNCO’s of PRO-9 held its New Year courtesy call to its regional director, Police C/Supt. Edgar Orduña Basbas, last Jan. 12.

As part of the customs and traditions of the PNP, various chiefs of the National support Units based in Zamboanga Peninsula were also present.

The said activity was held at the Multi-Purpose Hall of PRO-9, Camp Colonel Romeo Abendan in Zamboanga City.

Basbas, together with the members of the Command Group pleasantly received the New Year’s callers and wished his men for a fruitful 2015 and told them to render more untiring efforts for this year’s success.

The traditional New Year’s Call is a yearly traditional activity wherein all members of the command group, directorial, and special staffs, provincial and city directors, and other senior officers of regional headquarters pay a call to the regional director.

The PNP here said it also serves as an opportunity for senior officers and unit commanders to “reinvigorate their commitment to public service” after a year of hard work.

Basbas stressed that 2015 marks another challenge to the command and it is not hard if policemen work together to attain the assigned tasks.

He also said that the essence of the New Year’s Call is not only to renew our commitment but to strengthen commitment towards family, friends and the community.

The PNP regional director then urged each policeman to continue to work harder.
