Natividad plans to run for a higher post in 2016


ZAMBOANGA CITY: Councilor Roel ‘Elong’ Natividad said, if given the chance, he is contemplating of seek a higher post in 2016 elections.


Natividad, a Liberal Party (LP) member, however said, he would still submit to his party’s decision if he will get a go signal.

Natividad formerly ran under the “Team PNOY” in 2013 won and became the first councilor of the 2nd district’s City Council.

“Team PNOY” was an alliance between and among Mayor Climaco’s LP, Congressman Lobregat’s LDP and Jomar Lobregat’s Adelante Zamboanga Party (AZAP).

Said political coalition made a clean sweep victory, by winning most seats of the 20 total contested elective posts.

Natividad quipped that he will refrain from running for a higher position without his party’s blessings so as not to repeat his experience in 2010 elections where he left alone and later abandoned by his political party.

Natividad is always quick to state his alliance with the incumbent lady mayor when questioned of his political affiliation.
