Dapitan receives satisfactory rate in CSIS


DAPITAN CITY: This city received a satisfactory rating in Citizen Satisfaction Index System (CSIS) conducted by DILG and in partnership with Jose Rizal Memorial State University as partner in local resource institute.


Based on the survey, Dapitan’s overall satisfaction is about 60 percent, this means the government has satisfactory performance as expected.

The survey also shows that 54 percent of its citizens are generally aware of the programs and services of the city government while almost half of the overall populace availed the programs and services.

Specific to each program and services surveyed, health services got high satisfaction rate followed by programs for support to education and agricultural support and services.

Next is environmental management services, then public works and infrastructure services and governance and response.

Local government programs and services were high on environmental management services and public works and infrastructure services.

The survey further recommended to the local government to utilize information campaign to improve citizen’s perception of the city.

About 150 respondents were asked to rate the overall services of Dapitan City through face-to-face interview and multi-probability selection.

DILG Reg. Dir. Paisal O. Abutazil said that the CSIS is part of their initiative in helping the LGU to improve the delivery of local services.

The result was presented in the presence of city mayors, SP members, and department heads of Dapitan last Dec. 17, 2014.
